Revival of the 3-on-3 team battle system, the origin of "KOF".
New elements have been added to create the highest level in the series.
KOF gets back to its roots and returns to 3-on-3 battles. It's a game that aims to reach the top level of the series with the introduction of the new "Quick Emergency Evasion" and "Quick MAX Activation" which allow players to use KOF's Emergency Evasion and MAX activation under a variety of conditions.

KOF 2002 has evolved to its ultimate evolution with the entry of Nameless, the man of mystery.
The fan-favorite KOF 2002 has been revived as the UM series with many original elements added. The backgrounds of the stages have been changed to 3D, and ending illustrations by a team of splendid illustrators have been added! In addition, all-new, exclusive background music enhances the battle. Also, many characters have new special moves, and battles have been greatly enhanced.
